CARDET in cooperation with the International Council of Education Media organizes the conference “Innovative Learning Environments” on Wednesday, 10 November 2010, from 15:00 pm to 18:30pm at the UNESCO Amphitheater at the University of Nicosia. The conference is co-organized with the Pedagogical Insitute of Cyprus, the Open University of Cyprus, the University of Nicosia, INNOVADE LI Ltd., and Noesis Chemoinformatics Ltd. In addition, the conference is supported by the Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation, the European Union, and the Cyprus Office of the European Lifelong Learning Programme.

During the conference CARDET and its partners will present the latest progress and outcomes of their research projects related to Learning Environments. The projects to be showcased include: “Teachers’ Online Professional Development”, “A Framework for the Design and Evaluation of Blended Learning Environments”, and “e-Learning Analytics Tool”, all of which are funded by the Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation. Also the EuropeAid project “Raising Awareness on Development Cooperation”, which is lead by CARDET, will be presented along with its upcoming e-learning environment on sustainable development.

Finally, CARDET will present the project “A Framework for Preparing Teachers to Teach with ICT (EUPT3)”, funded by the European Lifelong Learning Programe, which envisions transferring innovative educational technology from the Open University of UK to Cyprus.
